The Role
At FanDuel, our developers are the foundation of every great fan experience — and we’re looking for a Senior Product Owner for our Platform development team to empower them with the tools, systems, and workflows that make innovation faster and more reliable.
You’ll be a key member of the Platform team , partnering closely with the Senior Product Manager and Engineering Managers to translate platform strategy into actionable work for engineering teams.
This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role that bridges product intent and engineering execution — ensuring the internal platforms we build are scalable, secure, and deeply aligned with developer needs .
What You'll Be Doing
• Be responsible for eliciting requirements, in the form of user stories & acceptance criteria , prioritizing the product backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the features or components.
• Establish and maintain domain expertise on the product.
• Bring fresh ideas to the table when working to solve business problems, using your commercial understanding to generate innovative solutions.
• Be an enabling force driving effective and sustainable change , guiding the business through the journey.
• Play a key role in self-organizing agile delivery teams.
• Work within a collaborative environment , liaising with stakeholders across the global organization and the broader delivery team.
• Play a key role within the PO community at FanDuel , sharing industry best practices and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and cross-skilling.
What You’ll Bring
• Experienced Product Owner , ideally with experience in Developer Platforms or Internal Tooling.
• Proven track record managing and delivering complex products and features.
• Deep understanding of agile delivery processes , with experience supporting multiple engineering teams.
• Has depth of technical understanding within their area of expertise and has the maturity to work independently, delivers effective updates and identifies barriers that would prevent completion of initiatives.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills , with the ability to influence without direct authority.
• Experience using data and metrics to inform decisions and track platform adoption.
• A passion for improving developer experience , streamlining processes, and scaling systems that support innovation.
