Reward & Benefits Manager

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Reward & Benefits professional to join our People Team in Portugal. Reporting to the Head of People Partnering and Reward & Benefits , you will be responsible for designing, managing, and continuously improving reward and benefits strategy – including the Blip’s compensation, benefits, and recognition programs - to ensure they are competitive, equitable, scalable, and aligned with the Blip and Flutter’s business strategy and people priorities. Working with the local People team as well as with the Flutter Group Reward team, you will be a subject matter expert in all aspects of reward such as salary ranges, role grading/leveling, job libraries, and benefits, with a special focus on the Tech Market.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Work closely with the Head of People Partnering, Reward & Benefits, People Partners, HR Operations, Payroll, and the Group Reward team to design, implement, and continuously evolve our reward and benefits offer aligned with business objectives and market competitiveness
  • Serve as the trusted subject matter expert and strategic advisor on all reward and benefits matters across the People and Leadership Team.
  • Collaborate with the Flutter Group Reward to ensure, when necessary, alignment between Blip’s reward  and benefits programs with the broader Flutter Group strategies.
  • Drive analysis and surveys to get input from our population and market, proposing improvements and reviewing our benefits and reward offer.
  • Manage flexible benefits, ensuring that employees are given a personalized experience while managing their benefits.
  • Design policies from scratch and iterate them throughout their implementation, or keep existing ones updated as needed.
  • Conduct regular internal and external data market analysis to ensure we are disrupting in our offer, identify any gaps, and propose solutions to mitigate them (including legislation, taxes and other external or internal practices).
  • Lead from a location perspective and work in partnership with the Flutter Group to deliver the annual remuneration review process and other reward processes.
  • Perform necessary job leveling, job matching and benchmark activities, ensuring salary bands and incentive schemes sustain internal equity, always in alignment with Flutter Group practices.
  • Run projects across the Flutter Group with linkages to reward and benefits that can affect Blip.
  • Analyze industry trends and salary data to ensure BIP remains competitive in the talent market and provide data and benchmarking information to the Group Reward team, Local People team and leadership to support informed decision making.
  • Conduct recurrent reviews of the existing reward structure and update the reward strategy that ensures a consistent approach for all levels across the organization.
  • Lead and manage all Blip’s local 3rd party reward and benefits partnerships.
  • Lead and develop the Reward & Benefits team, providing coaching, mentoring and support to ensure high performance and career development.

  • Strong collaboration skills, as well as great English communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Strategic thinking and decision-making skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused mindset are essential.
  • Clear communication and improved stakeholder management skills.
  • Good legal and tax knowledge.
  • Capable of multi-tasking and managing multiple projects while maintaining close attention to detail.
