The role
We are seeking a Senior Software Security Engineer to help drive the security of our software and platforms. In this role, you will report to the Software Security Engineering Manager and collaborate with a team of skilled security engineers. You will help lead and contribute to securing our development ecosystem by identifying vulnerabilities, implementing security controls, and guiding teams on best practices. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical foundation in software development with a strong focus on security principles and practices with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work cross-functionally to achieve security objectives.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and drive efforts focused on improving the security of software and platforms by identifying risks and implementing effective solutions.
- Architect and lead the effective operation and reliability of security solutions across software and platform environments.
- Shape and evolve vulnerability management processes, collaborating across teams to reduce risk, improve security posture, and enhance automation.
- Influence and embed security practices into the Secure Development Lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring security tools and processes align with business and engineering objectives.
- Perform other tasks as needed to support the team’s security objectives.
What You’ll Bring
- Strong familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based infrastructure, such as AWS.
- Strong experience in software development (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or Java).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively engage with stakeholders and contribute to the success of the product lifecycle.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to a positive, inclusive team culture.
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills, particularly concerning technical risks, issues, and constraints;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English and Portuguese);
