The Role
We’re looking for passionate technologists, strong communicators, and those with a commitment to continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Network Engineer which is passionate about cloud and has the confidence to propose pragmatic solutions to complex problems. You will have knowledge of network automation, DevOps patterns, and mature CI/CD processes that will help build the next generation of services that enable self-healing for our systems and minimize the work required to deploy and validate the network.
You, as a successful and talented candidate, will join the highly skilled team working across the FanDuel’s project at Blip. As a part of the Cloud Platforms Network Engineering team, you will assist in the design, definition, implementation, observation, and support of the network architectures and environments.
What You’ll Be Doing

Hand-on implement and support utilizing infrastructure as code allowing for authoritative and actionable standards across networking devices and virtual networks

Use automation systems to support the build and operations of networks and networking components

Collaborating with network architects and engineers to design and implement company networks.

Drive continuous improvement of detection and remediation of operational events

Code development and reviews of peer code to ensure high quality and functionality
What You’ll Bring
-
Bachelor’s Degree in a technology related field or equivalent experience to a Bachelor's degree
-
Minimum of 2 years' experience managing cloud connectivity: AWS VPC/Network peering, Cloud-to-Cloud, On-prem-to-cloud in a production environment.

Experience in implementing cloud and infrastructure automation (e.g. automated provisioning of network devices, experience with cloud networking technologies such as TGW, GWLB, AWS Network Firewall, Cloud WAN).

Broad understanding of TCP/IP fundamental and different routing protocols: BGP is preferred
-
Hold networking certification and not only (example CCNA, CCDE, JNCIA, AWS CSAA)

Familiarity/hands on experience with any network device operating systems (Arista,Cisco,PaloAlto)

Experience with Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD)
-
Experience working with and implementing templating systems and automation techniques using Terraform.

It would be a great plus to have EKS or/and Outpost experience

Comfort in a linux environment and troubleshooting using the linux command line

Ability to work in a distributed environment for both individual and team-based projects

Cloud networking production experience in Amazon AWS and Google.

Experience leading complex global projects from development through implementation

A good understanding of IT environments including networking, server technologies, databases, security and performance

Ability to understand systems from all levels, from the "big picture" enterprise-level view to the low-level technical view
