Delivery Lead

The Role

The Delivery Lead will focus on making product delivery happen within an engaged, supported, and motivated team environment for the Global Services Team. They will provide the transparency (via tooling), facilitation and optimisation of the product & software delivery machine, to ensure maximum effectiveness of Global Services squads. The role will optimise the delivery lifecycle, to enable regular release of value, bring predictability to change and ensure delivery balances product, engineering, quality assurance, service operations and architectural goals. 

What You’ll Be Doing  

  • People-centric leadership approach, to foster a healthy and self-organizing team. 

  • Partner with Engineering and Product, to consolidate planning and clear visibility on delivery plans. 

  • Provide transparent delivery plans and delivery health. 

  • Forecast and communicate delivery dates and delivery health regularly to the Global Services Team and stakeholders. 

  • Enable and support autonomous squads, to be maximally effective through transparent, objective measurement and action: 

  • Emphasize the importance of teaching, helping others to help themselves e.g. Cycle Time. 

  • Management of dependencies, go / no-go decisions, and delivery forecasting. 

  • Teach the effective operation of delivery (inc. stand-ups, retrospectives etc.) 

  • Ensure a motivating, engaging and happy atmosphere for delivery. 

  • Champion the importance of removing waste, balancing workload, and improving dependency processes within and outside the team. 

  • Thought leader and teacher of Agile practices, intelligent tooling, emphasizing the importance of social learning. 

  • Facilitate delivery communities of practice and share learnings across Global Services Team
