The Role...

The Head of Talent Acquisition for Porto is a role that sits in Flutter Group Functions and is accountable for all hiring outcomes for the location, managing the talent needs that are based in and from on behalf of all the Flutter Entertainment Brands, this includes Flutter UK & I (Paddy Power, Betfair & Sky Betting and Gaming) Flutter International, Fanduel and Sportsbet as well as Flutter Group Functions. 
The estimated number of roles to hire year can vary in line with the budget defined per location/divisions. Not only does the role look after Porto as a centre of Excellence, and this is also a key role in making strategic decisions for the overall function. In this role, you will be comfortable managing hypergrowth and ensuring we have working practices that allow Porto to scale at pace. 
Inspiring & motivating a team of TA managers and recruiters to deliver against a recruitment strategy that includes all hiring across levels and disciplines with a specific focus on tech talent, at all seniorities. 
The Head of Talent is also accountable for all early talent strategies for securing interns, apprentices, and graduates into the business as well as senior hiring and all hiring business demands. You will be a passionate advocate of DEI, candidate experience & operational excellence and be comfortable providing reporting to the business globally so that our metrics are transparent, and our successes celebrated. 

Roles & responsibilities: 

•    Create and execute a Europe-wide growth strategy to attract and hire talent for all open roles (early-talent, experienced recruitment & leadership hiring) for all the Flutter Entertainment Brands. 
•    Accountability for the hiring annual forecasts and alignment with the broader teams and areas.
•    Continue to build, lead & develop a team of high-performing TA managers and recruiters, with a focus on capability building, career development & retention. 
•    Manage the overall TA team, including the direct management of TA Managers and, indirectly, the TA specialists and coordinators. 
•    Ensure and own a data-driven approach to evaluating performance, with a robust set of OKRs & KPIS to measure the success of our strategy on a regular basis. 
•    Be a trusted advisor & business partner to Flutter leaders, using market knowledge and data & insights to influence change & inform decision-making. 
•    Collaborate with People Partners on resourcing strategy, strategic priorities, workforce planning as well as hiring plans and their impact on the business. 
•    Continue to build out our direct hire proposition and provide recruiters with the capacity, tools & skills to source candidates through a variety of channels & techniques. 
•    Be a thought leader on Talent Acquisition in the region and across the wider Flutter Group of companies – building relationships with other TA leaders across our business globally. 
•    Ensuring we are advancing our approach to how we attract and secure the best people for our business. 
•    Creating and amplifying a fair, equitable and diverse approach to how Flutter hires talent. 
•    Accounts and looks for all the TA initiatives and projects that might impact the location and strategy.
•    Partner with the local Leadership Team to ensure the delivery of local strategic initiatives that might include the TA team and TA OKRs. 


You will have:

•    Proven success in leading & developing in-house recruiting teams to deliver ambitious hiring goals at pace, ideally in a digital business.
•    Experience in designing a vision & strategy, setting goals & objectives, and measuring performance to influence change and improve effectiveness.
•    Excellent communicator – able to articulate complex messages simply and adapt style to suit the wider audience.
•    Adept at using data & insights – can manipulate data & generate insight and uses this to solve problems and shape strategy as well as a data-driven approach to hiring.  
•    Skilled at navigating ambiguity and being able to pivot in the face of an ever-changing and fast-paced environment. 
•     Passion for the art of problem-solving. 
•    A commitment to diversity, equity & inclusion.
